This was my Mushu head turn assignment for my 2-D Character Animation Class with John Webber at SCAD. Overall, i guess I'm happy with it, though being my usual picky self, i could go back and fix tons of things. But this animation helped me with understanding how to keep a character still without feeling "frozen". So that was a major thing this helped me with. And with timing.

You're at SCAD? That's seriously awesome!! I've taken a few animation classes there and it's what helped me decide to go for it as a major. Love your work!!
Yep! In my senior year, working on my film!
Hi! I love your animation, and I kind of said that pretty late too. I'm trying to do animation too, but I'm more of a newbie so you probably know more techniques than I do.
Wow! I love the follow through of the nose dipping down after the turning of the head and the ear movements. I feel like there was a bit too much movement on the whiskers after he lifts his head up at the beginning but seriously, this is a fantastic animation!
amazing, i love this kind of animation
I say amazing work here :3
very very good! Fluid movement and reaction is great!
Very smooth , I love his expressions !!
It looks so smooth! Amazing job~
Awesome. I'm going to SCAD for animation this fall! Maybe I'll see you around haha
haha. maybe. You'll recognize me easily. I'm the guy always walking around in a Captain America jacket lol. It's like part of my identity here lol
MUSHU!!! <3 looks a lot better ^_^
It looks something that would have been in the movie.
Nice job. Its' funny because I remember John doing a scene like this in Mulan. AND he struggled on making it perfect, just like you. Keep it up.
oh wow! Thanks Mr. Bancroft! You're one of my inspirations, so I was so excited to see you comment on this! I'll have to ask Webber about that. And I definitely will keep at it!
Really nice! I do think you can remove some frames from his surprised face. But other than that, nice!
Oooh...how do you upload videos to here/other sites?
i made it a swf file for on here.
Ahh so that's the file it accepts...thanks
You can also submit videos if you join the deviantART film thing. Easiest way to get them is via invitation. I got one from Waymond, I can give one to either of you and you give one to the other.
That's so weird. I can't believe I never knew that, and I practically live on this site!
I didn't either, I asked Waymond when he submitted his DigiCel thing and that's how I got my DigiCel and 2-D Production shorts on here in video form.
